Since PHP programming is open source, you can find many places to get help and most of them are free. Some of the tutorials available in the form of books may cost a few dollars but the information has also been edited down into a simpler format to understand. There are thousands of them and searching Amazon or another large online bookseller is the best way of finding them.

One good place to get started finding information is in FAQ lists. There are loads of them online and youll find some easier to follow that others. Its just takes some surfing around to see who writes in the most understandable way for you. There are many downloadable manuals you can find as well. You can always sign up for mailing lists which will send out announcements of new developments as well as archival links that are helpful. Newsgroups are another good place to do a lot of reading, and youll find lots of helpful hints for troubleshooting on those sites. User groups are the same way, and youll find them locally, statewide as well as internationally. Its quite a fraternity!
